You love them in desserts, with champagne or as they are- Strawberries! delicious, juicy, full of good health and  amazing beauty benefits.

They’re loaded with nutrients and are a great source of folic acid, Vitamin A, B &C, Calcium, Phosphorous and Potassium. They contain salicylic acid and are packed with anti oxidants that help the skin look younger and brighter. The anti oxidants in this fruit repair the skin that’s borne the brunt of sun damage. They have excellent skin whitening capabilities and help take off a tan. They effectively n’ efficiently deal with acne and oily skin.

Here are 5 strawberry skincare recipes to give you a youthful complexion:

Berrylicious Scrub: Strawberries contain AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) that have excellent exfoliating capabilities. The AHA’s remove the skin’s dead cell build up revealing gorgeous glowing skin beneath.  Simply cut a strawberry in half and rub it on your face. Let it to sit for a minute and wash off with cold water. Voila! You have soft and glowing skin.

Strawberries and Cream: Give the strawberry, cream and honey mask a try for soft beautiful skin.  You could have it as a dessert too! Take a tablespoon of organic honey and mix it with 3 ripe, mashed strawberries and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream. Leave this paste on for 10 minutes and then rinse off with cold water. If you have sensitive skin, substitute the cream with yogurt. Enjoy healthy skin.

Puffy eyes zapper: Have trouble dealing with puffy eyes?  Slice a strawberry in two and place these halves on your eyes for 10 minutes.  Remove the slices and follow up with a gentle moisturizer. Repeated use helps control your puffy eyes and reduce dark eye circles too.

Acne fighter: Do you suffer from occasional acne or skin blemishes? Strawberries to your rescue! Take half a cup of mashed strawberries and mix well with 1 tablespoon of sour cream. Apply to your face for 15  minutes. Gently rinse off with cold water. Regular treatment is the key here for the zits to disappear.

Foot Pamperer: Strawberries help primp up tired feet. Take 10 strawberries, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Make a paste of these ingredients and massage onto your feet. Rinse, dry and moisturize; your happy feet are good to go!

    This is wonderful but I’ve heard that blueberries are really much useful. I presently have included blueberries in my diet. Can I add the strawberries as well. Will it be fine if I consume both at the same time and I’ll sure have to find a place where I can procure fresh ones. :)
