Are You Independent With Your Skincare Choices?

I’m looking forward to a great 4th of July vacation with barbecues and a beach trip with family and friends! Delving  beyond the fun- political independence gave us the freedom to choose a better life; work where we want, eat what we want, live where we want, love who we want and follow any religion that we choose.

What about our personal independence? It seems to have gotten a little jaded with the influx of excessive information promising us growth, advancement, the rainbow  and the moon!

What does personal independence mean to you? To me, it has got a lot to do with making independent choices and knowing what I want. You and me exercise our independent choice every day by deciding what to wear to work, what to put on our plates, how to commute etc.  We are so very conscious about everything around us, then why do we not make informed and independent skincare decisions? Why is it that we often get fooled by the pretty looking lady or the delicious looking dude enticing us to buy a particular product? Is it because our personal independence has jaded us? Or is it because trusting that pretty face is an easier, enticing and convenient option?

We are aware of the hazards that some ingredients in our skin care and beauty products have. But are we ready to do something about it? It might take time to bring about a cosmetic reform in the industry; but by creating awareness about what to use and what not to, busting myths, talking about technological advancements, connecting and understanding community needs- one is better equipped to make an informed and independent decision. So whether it’s an advanced beauty treatment or something out of your kitchen cupboard, You Know What’s ‘Right’ for you.

At www.mySkin.com we take independence seriously. It’s a place where you get unbiased skincare advice, find out what to use and what to avoid and focus on your overall well being. Here we truly believe that beauty is skin deep and know that every individual is skin-unique. We also understand the ‘similar skin thread’ that runs amongst a group of persons; ‘Just like Me’ algorithms enable us to recommend products that work for you, driven from a community of men/women who are very much like you. It’s not about buying, selling or promoting, it’s all about navigating the busy skin care universe making it easier to comprehend. After all, we want you to be skincare empowered and make decisions in an informed and independent manner!

How do you exercise your independence to health and skincare? Write in let us know.
