After all, pumpkins are not just delicious, but also great for your skin! With lots of vitamins A and D, pumpkin can help to soften and soothe (read: it fights signs of aging) and its natural fruit enzymes and alpha-hydroxy acids help to brighten and smooth your dermis. Here are 3 awesome pumpkin masks to make your skin shine during the harvest season:

Simple Pumpkin Mask

  1. Mix and mash 1 tsp of cooked pumpkin and 1tsp of honey together and apply.
  2. Leave on for 15 minutes.
  3. Rinse with cool water and cleanser.

Pumpkin and Yoghurt Mask

  1. Stir 2 cups of pumpkin.
  2. Add 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 4 tablespoons of honey, 1/3 cup of ground almonds, and ¼ teaspoon of olive oil
  3. Mix all of the ingredients together, and apply to clean, damp skin
  4. Leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Wipe your face clean with a washcloth.

Pumpkin & Oat Vegan Face Mask

Mix 3 tbsp of pumpkin puree with 1 tbsp oats ground into flour in a blender. Add 2 tbsp of coconut sugar for extra exfoliation power and a tiny pinch of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for the smell. Mix it all up and smear it on clean skin. Sit for about 10-15 minutes, then tissue off and then rinse with warm water. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer or facial oil.
