Tired of gifting the same old perfume, home décor, chocolate, jewellery, crockery options? Deciding on a last minute gift for your loved ones?

How about doing something different and adding a personal touch? Gift your loved ones the promise of beautiful, healthy skin with these DIY beauty gifts:

Vanilla-lush Lotion Bars: These lotion Bars are not only a delight to make but are also super easy and great for the skin – in summer or winter. With only 3 to 5 basic ingredients, you can create little gift packs for your friends.

Ingredients – 1 part beeswax (pellets preferably), 1 part almond oil, 1 part coconut oil, Vanilla Flavour Essential oil, Vitamin E Capsules (optional)

Recipe – Start with a 1:1:1 ratio of beeswax, almond oil and coconut oil. In a double boiler, melt the ingredients one by one, starting with the Beeswax then almond oil and next coconut oil. In case of allergies, you can also substitute the almond oil with jojoba oil or olive oil. Take the molten mix off the double boiler add about 20 drops of Vanilla oil and add few vitamin E capsules for that extra oomph! Any other flavour like lavender, citrus, musk oil, etc. can be added as per your preference. Pour in small moulds and let it cool to room temperature. Wrap them in crepe and lace and gift them in aplomb!

Ice Brownie lip Balm: Charm the kisses out of your aunts! Present them cute home-made lip balm mini containers of a minty, chocolaty, holiday feel!

Ingredients – 1 part beeswax, 1 part Cocoa Butter, 1 part coconut oil, Peppermint essential oil, Vitamin E capsules.

Recipe – Add a 1:1:1 ratio of the beeswax, Cocoa butter and coconut oil in a double boiler, one by one and let it melt into a luscious mixture. To this, add about 20 to 30 drops of Peppermint essential oil and cut up 3 to 4 Vitamin E capsules for softer, nourished lips Pour out into mini lip-balm containers and let it cool. The 1:1:1 ratio makes a fairly stiff balm. For a softer balm increase the amount of coconut oil to 1:1:2.

Clean Olive Facial cleanser: Olive oil is known for its cleansing properties. What better way than olive oil for getting that grime and makeup out!  Appropriately bottled with twine and glitter, it is guaranteed to make that teenage cousin of yours really happy!

Ingredients – 2 teaspoons liquid baby wash, 2 teaspoons water, 2 teaspoons glycerine, ½ cup Olive oil, any flavour Essential oil (5 to 10 drops)

Recipe – Blend all the ingredients into a thick, smooth, creamy mix in blender. You can also add any flavour of essential oil (citrus, musk, cinnamon), to give the cleanser an amazing exotic fragrance. Store it in a bottle with a pump lid.

Get creatively beautiful this festive season <3
