Look Younger With The Moroccan Date, Carrot And Orange Salad

Salads- they are light, refreshing, crunchy, and nutty. Packed with fresh or lightly cooked vegetables and fruits, salads help to keep you young and healthy.

Here is an exotic, skin-loving fresh dates, orange and carrot salad for you.

What Do You Need?

  • 1 small bunch of lettuce
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 finely grated carrots
  • 5 oz fresh Moroccan  dates that are pitted and cut into length wise thin strips
  • 1/4 cup toasted almonds that are chopped
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

How Do You Toss ?

  • Separate the lettuce leaves and arrange them in the bottom of a salad bowl.
  • Place the finely grated carrot in a mound on top of the lettuce leaves.
  • Peel and segment the oranges. Arrange them around the carrot. Pile the dates on the top, and sprinkle the salad with toasted almond pieces.
  • To make the dressing, mix the lemon juice, honey and salt together. Whisk it well. Sprinkle lightly over the salad and serve immediately.
