Your Beauty Products Spread Cheer

humanrights

Today is Human Rights Day- a day we rededicate our efforts to equality, peace and a better tomorrow for the human race across caste, creed and geography. Beauty companies are focusing on spreading health, wellness, happiness and education  amongst the less fortunate. Their initiatives help women, men and children hope for a healthy, safe and happy future. So, I ask, “Where do you stand?” How are you making a difference in another human being’s life– even if it is a tad bit?

Smashbox BCA Photo Finish Primer–  $36

Making your skin glow and ready for make-up, this Smashbox Primer is one of the best known amongst the famous make-up artists that keep the fashion ramp looking pretty. The company allotted the whole month of October for beauty with a cause.

Costing $36, the company will donate $5 from each purchased product to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation ®

Josie Maran’s Argan Oil– $48

A lot of Josie Maran products do their bit for the welfare of the world. The Josie Maran Argan Oil aids in the preservation of the argan forests in Morocco. They also help support women’s co-operatives that closely work with providing rural women a steady income, fair wages for their work, suitable working conditions and many other literacy and educational programs.

Laura Mercier Rose Hope Lip Glace–  $24

While this Lip Glace can make your lips look perfectly kissable, it is a product that has for quite some time put a smile on the lips of many women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. 100% of the product sales are donated to the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund. These donations that come from your purchases helps raise awareness and fund research in ovarian cancer. It also gets directed towards educational efforts to diagnose and treat women with Ovarian Cancer.

Lush Charity Pot–  $22.95

The tagline of this product is as giving as the name of this beauty product is. “Give Generously. Use Generously”.  This moisturizer is made with Fair Trade organic and natural ingredients. The company donates 100% of the purchase price towards different charitable organizations like Acid Survivors Trust International-a human rights initiative, NOLA Green Roots-an organization for non-profit that teaches New Orleans residents to grow produce at a low cost and Grey2KUSA that promotes and provides adoption services for greyhounds that were once used for racing.

MAC’s Viva Glam– $15

MAC’s Viva Glam Lipstick is one product that has a history of doing good, with Nicki Minaj currently smacking her lips for MAC. Since 1994 – the launch of the lipstick line – the company has been giving 100% of the sales to women, men and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Do good this festive season and help in making this a better place for humanity.
