Two days of makeup, color, seminars and fun That’s how I feel after attending The Makeup Show NYC held recently on May 13 and 14 where over 6,000 beauty professionals, educators, beauty bloggers and leading beauty brands gathered at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.
I personally feel that there’s no industry event that is equivalent to The Makeup Show. James Vincent, the Director of Artistry and Education is dedicated to delivering service to beauty professionals that will keep them returning to the show enlarging their level of artistry, knowledge, networks and building relationships. As you attend the educational forums, the seminars, the hands on classes and keynote presentations, you leave The Makeup Show all excited! This colossal beauty show repurposes your efforts in building an enriching career in the industry.
This year, I was excited as The Makeup Show team had added ‘The Career Fair’ for the show attendees. With the Career Fair, we had the opportunity to meet many brand representatives and agencies to explore open employment within the New York area and nationally. The Makeup Show staff has also announced that the Career Fair will be open to the attendees at the Chicago Show next month, June 17-18, 2012. Is anyone attending?
Shelly Taggar, Vice President for The Makeup Show states, “This was our seventh year in NYC and each year becomes the most inspiring and best year yet. Exhibitors did better than ever, and attendees raved about the new additions of the show including the Career Fair. Every year we try to grow and deliver new things to the artists that attend, and I think this year has been the best yet. And we still have 3 shows to deliver this year in Chicago, Berlin and our new addition Orlando.”
The Makeup Show brings the stability of the industry to life. With over 50 forums, 60+ pro-makeup industry companies and veteran artists like Frances Hathaway to Eugenia Weston of Senna Cosmetics, each makeup artist has a chance to not only become inspired, but receive the tools that will catapult them into the next level of his or her career.
It’s been a wonderful experience at The Makeup Show NYC. How did you find the show? Love to hear from you, beauty-istas!
