The Grand Finale On Day 3 At International Beauty Show, New York

What a Day 3 its been at #IBSNY! Like a sponge wanting to soak in each and every beautiful moment my day traversed talking to wonderful people on snake venom, ethnic skincare, organic skincare and more! Read on.

I spoke to Nate Dakar –President of Sonya Dakar skincare products who filled me in on the latest and greatest of skincare and discussed their product lines. How does a snake facial sound? A bit scary at first, but then I found out that its not really snake venom! I attended the class on Snake Venom Facial where the key ingredient is micro- apple stem cells and SY-NAKE, (a synthetic snake vernom) which works as topical botox. (The full version of my interview will be up here in a while- Watch this space!)
The talk on ethnic skin care by Eunice Cofie was fabulous. She spoke about differences in skin structures of different skin types, and problems that skin of each race is susceptible to. She also covered some key ingredients that should be used for ethnic skin and trends in this area.  ( Watch this space for a full Q&A with her!)
On the exhibit floor, I met Boldijarre Koronczay, founder of Eminence Organics. His passion for non-toxic, organic and natural skincare is undoubtedly reflected in his product line and his presentations on skincare.

For those who seek luxury smothered in gold (literally), there were an array of gold based products and an interesting looking gold mask. They had little bits of the mask which one could try out on the skin, and the back of my hand felt oh-so-smooth right after.

Peptides are a rage this year at the show. There have been educational classes on peptides at #IBSNY with the floor displaying many peptide based products.Krista Kannada spoke to me about the award winning hydropeptide skincare range.  At the show, I spoke to Deborah Chase, from the No-Nonsense Beauty Blog. She puts in her vast experience in both science and beauty together to document and discuss her approach and adventures with a no-nonsense anti-aging beauty plan. I also chatted with Cinthia Audet, the founder and President of with the Aquafolia range of skincare products. Its inspiring to note that organic, green, natural, non-toxic skincare is more main stream now! I was also distracted periodically by an industrial strength blender that could churn out soups, dips, juices and smoothies in no time, which was creating waves at the #IBSNY,  Check out my #IBSNY story via pictures here.

Today The Beauty Show comes to an end… its been an exhilarating, roller coaster-like beauty experience, the last couple of days at Jacob Javits. Two thumbs to a great show! Cheers to healthy skin:)
